    First, you ban the guns.

    Then, you ban the knives.

Then, let's see the idiot politicians ban rocks, or hammers, or screwdrivers, or hacksaws, or ....

Like it or not, people will hurt other people to get things they are too lazy to work for, or out of some sort of emotion, or any number of other reasons. Until the self important liberal azzwipes figure this out, and realize that society simply cannot afford to provide an armed body guard for every human being, there is no way to make the world a "safe" place.

Clearly, this is all Batman's fault.

        .

Next they'll ban anything glass, and cover the walls of buildings in bubble wrap so you can't be harmed by being thrown against it in a harsh manner.

Huh. I had a thought while reading that. What if they DID all of a sudden allow firearms back into the country, en masse, and allowed CCW? Do you think there would be a huge uprising of criminals being shot by overzealous or untrained or unthinking but otherwise law abiding citizens?

Now don't get me wrong, I am 100% against gun control laws that affect the good people, but its a little scary to think that at this point it would be tough to reintroduce firearms to a citizenry like that, that is so used to NOT having them...

You'd think they'd ban alcohol over there the way those Brits pound it then go ape using bottles, knives, etc.

I really don't think there would be much of a problem. People are usually screened in this country before they receive a concealed permit and the "blood in the street" argument is obviously false. Things across the pond wouldn't be any worse. It's just that the powers that be don't like having their jobs threatened by the independent minded. Things have gotten so bad that it's not politically correct for a violent criminal to be met with force by their victims in the UK. The politicians in control are a dismal failure, just like some of the modern day aristocrats we see here in California that could care less if you can protect yourself or not. The left driven political correctness kills.

                They should just ban inbreeding.

This sounds familiar.... I wonder what is next? Ban sporks!

there's weapons inside prisons. no matter what gets banned people will make weapons out of anything. thats just how it is.

Eventually they will just have to cut off everyone's arms, since they can be used as an effective weapon too.

                      It's just a flesh wound.

Hardly anyone would apply. If you think hoplophobia is bad in liberal areas of America, you need to see how quickly most Brits pee themselves at the sight or mention of a gun.

There are notable exceptions of course.

                          He blames Heath Ledger!!!

Too bad you can't dig up his corpse and put it on trial to show the public you are doing something to protect them. Anybody who denies the whole 'slippery slope' of gun control really ought to look across the pond and see how successful gun control has been.

This is very familiar. "Guns represent the most danger to their owners" "People who own a gun or their families are more likely to be hurt by a gun"
