    **Everything .50 Beowulf**

Hello Calgunners.... I finally got my .50 Beowulf out on the range this weekend and must say this rifle is fun to shoot. Figured why not start a thread where we can discuss upgrades.... Reloads/Ammo used.... Magazines used... Accessories.... Issues... Etc. Would also like to see how you dress them up and your experiences good or bad.

Never shot mine without the brake (AA pepper pot) http://www.shopalexanderarms.com/Muz...zle_Brake.htmlso I can't say how much it really helps. I would like to try the tank brake, probably more effective and just adds to the ridiculousness of the rifle (in a good way).

I have my 16" upper on an A2 stock setup. Ran fine with carbine stock/buffer too.

How does it feed with the hex mags? The beo mags don't have anti tilt follower, so I upgraded to magpul usgi followers.

Any ammo is a blast to shoot. Underwood has some cool rounds, here's the solid brass penetrator https://www.underwoodammo.com/50-beo...tor-box-of-20/. Normal AA rounds can be found for about $26 per 20.

      All I got for now.

That's some info I've never herd of before besides the break. I there's are some issues with the hex mags everything is still being broken in so we'll see how it goes... The Beowulf seems to like the lancer mags though

I've never shot mine with the pepper pot....haven't had it out since I installed it...and yes, a tank brake was very tempting but since my barrel was't threaded it was easier to go with the PP. Great gun. I've found a couple deals here on ammo...just have to watch. There used to be a forum dedicated to them....can't remember the name as it's been a few years but it was a decent resource.

Can you use standard ar (5.56) mags for this platform? And if so, how many rounds does it hold?

Yes you can... A Beowulf mag that holds 10nds is essentially a 30rnd 5.56

Actually looks good on the gun. Not as heavy as it looks and it works really well. And huge fireballs.
