Could be the unit. Their customer service is A++. Give them a email. I haven't. Tried their other scopes besides the ACSS and the Mil Dot version. Their both decent scope. Like o saod before, about prostaff glass. Any better and i think the price point would have to jump up to match the quality. So, for a useable scope its good for the price. Holds zero well so i cant conplain.

Love that scope. Great price and it seems to hold zero quite well.

Take a look at the Super Sniper. I have a SWFA 12X42 MilMil on my AR 10. Very sturdy very clear. It's rated for 50BMG. Opening the box I promptly dropped it from 4 feet up onto a concrete floor. Scope is fine. It's also just about your budget

Millet DMS-2, 1-6x. Great reticle, great price and I have zero complaints about it and the previous Millet scopes I"ve used.

Vortex makes a nice mount which is affordable and works great.

Got three, one DMS-1 and two DMS-2s. DMS-1 is on an AR15 for the past 3 or so years.

The 2 DMS-2, one on AR 10 and other on .50 Beowulf AR15. Haven't needed customer support yet.

OP what purpose was the rifle built for? thats going to be your biggest deciding factor next to your budget. i too am in the market for a scope to put on my ar10 and have decided to go with a 4-16x50 since mine has a 18" barrel and i plan to do some hunting with it.

x2 on the SWFA SS Scopes. If you don't mind used and shopping around, check out places like Snipershide. I got an Swfa ss 10x42 HD glass model used for $350 shipped. Glass is amazing on their HD models for the money.

Another DMS-1 happy customer, although Millet had a batch with some issues.
