    Ammo Scare??

I went to Wally World for some ammo... The case was almost empty. There were 2 employees there commenting on how it has been flying off the shelf.. the store clerk was saying one guy purchased over 900 dollars in ammo..Even the door greeter that checked my recipt made a comment on how everyone was buying ammo. Has anyone else seen this kind of activity?? The store is in Rancho Cucamonga.. close to the Crossroads gun show in Ontario this week end.. maybe vendors were stocking up??

There appears to be a rush for everything since Obama won the election. The Walmart in Napa was very lean today as well. Lots of uncertainty with the upcoming administration.

The Walmart in Brea and in Orange have both been completely sold out of those 100 round packs of .223 for almost 3 weeks now. I've checked at least 4 times and have only been able to puchase two packs.

i called the local walmart today about the federal 100 rd 223 value pack. they told me that they have been waiting for their shipment for a while and unclear when it would come.

totally lame, most of the walmarts ive been going to have been out of what i need

for those that live on the S.F. Peninsula, I went by City Arms today and they had quite a few cases of 1000 of PMC .223/5.57 55 gr FMJ BT for $350.
I think they had around 9 cases left.

People that bought record number of firearms after obama won, are now buying ammo for their guns.

                      +

People that think because of obama winning the election, ammunition will not be available in the near future.

                      =

People stocking up right now. Ammo selling out very fast....

                        You're right with one exception

It's kinda hard to reload 22LR which is what I'm stocking up on these days. and wal-mart is low/out of that as well

Last few times at wally world, I talked to the sporting goods worker, He asked me if there was a war going on he should know about?, haha as we bought all the .223 JHP they had. The clerk mentioned that a customer came in a day before and purchased over $1000 in ammo alone. I've struck up many conversations with others while waiting around for assistance. The general idea was they were afraid of price increase and wanted to get as much as they could.

I'm not sure why anyone would wait until now? You should always be stocked up! The Reno Walmart always seems to have plenty in stock when I go through. -g

Problem with reloading is you need enough powder and primers and bullets to keep you going. Technically you're limited on the amount of powder you can store depending on where you live. If you live in the big central valley and in the country you're fine but in a big city there are local fire ordinances that can affect you.
