    Another Turner's Experience

I know what you all are thinking, there's always some kind of rant about how terrible Turner's C/S is. But I thought I'd share something different.

I frequent the Reseda Store quite often. Today I was there this morning around 11AM. I was picking up a firearm and finishing up my paperwork.

I've been seeing new faces there so I'm at a lost for names. There's a larger fellow you might see in the hunting department (Not Marty) who wears glasses.
This salesman was talking to two LAPD officers, on-duty. Now I was further down the counter were the S&W's are but I was listening to their conversation... bits and pieces of it anyways. These two officers seemed genuinely interested on how to acquire Stripped OLL to build rifles and legally build CA compliant AR's.
This salesman also mentioned BB-devices and Mag-locks.

Seems to me like local LEO are becoming more familiar with OLL's or are they looking for someone to pick on? I reserved myself from getting into that conversation and took on about my business and left.

Maybe they are interested in getting one or they are getting info about them.. Like how is it legal and all..

Must be Travis. He is a nice guy. Anyways, I know a lot of LEO who are interested in OLL and wanted to buy them.

Hmmmm... After reading several previous threads about Turner's it seems like they would not be the best source of information for that (although I have never been to the Reseda store). Perhaps they are more knowledgeable and hopefully Turner's gave them good information.

It is good to hear that they were genuinely interested (for the right reasons of course).

I know a couple of LEOs from work and asked about the OLL situation in Chula Vista....They say that they are fine as long as they are off list and configured properly. One of them actually told me he has a couple ........

Umm, can't LEOs own a non-neutered black rifle?

Only if they get a love letter from the chief allowing them to purchase an AW. Many CLEOs will not issue said letter, and therefore those LEOs get to play the OLL game like the rest of us.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Turner's is a group of loosely affiliated individual salesman who get paid almost nothing.

It's luck of the draw, mood, timing, etc.

I've had experiences ranging from beyond fantastic to quite miserable.

On the other hand, I've also noticed that someone before/after me has had service less than I had because they weren't as kind or outgoing.

If you consistently have bad service everywhere you go, you might want to take a look in the mirror.

I was at the Turners in Pasadena today. The guys there were talking about OLLs, and they knew what they were talking about.

I guess he never took a look behind him, at shelves. I usually see Bushmaster (sealed magwell) OLL rifles on their shelves.
