    Thanks for the info aar.

I stopped going to the show about 3 years ago after getting tired of looking at prices that matched the stores or mostly higher, plus the parking and the hassle of the crowd, and so many non-gun related booths there crowding the gun stuff. No deals to be found so it is easier to order from home and just go pick up at the ffl. It is over an hour of a drive for me if no traffic. If i were closer, still do not mind going for just the walk and looking.

California and it's crap gun laws make it difficult to have a successful gun show here. There was a time when dealers came in from other states into California to sell but that's no longer the case. Don't blame them, blame California. No one wants to take a chance at inadvertently breaking one of the crap gun laws and lose their liberty and business over non-sense California gun laws. We know that law enforcement scour the shows looking to make arrests even if you were unaware that you were breaking a law.

This is the first show I've been to in at least a few years where I actually purchased a gun that was on my never-ending list of things to look for. AND at a great price too. Deals are to be had if you can find them.

My strategy for this show has always been to arrive right at or just before 9am, park in the swap meet lot, get tickets, and barely have a wait in the line to get in. There were definitely more people at this show. At around 11am I happen to notice the ticket line was about 100 people deep, which is a first that I've seen 2 hours after opening.

Yeah I was there in the morning Saturday. Typical stuff being sold including AR's/complete uppers, 80% and plenty of ammo.

Personally I didn't find what I wanted so I left around noon and ordered mine over the net.

Have a good time at the show. Even if you do or don't find what you want at least you'll get a good walking out of it!

                Thanks
I ended up just going to bass pro and buying some primers and powder, parking was free, lines short and I was home 10 min later.

I went this morning. Didn't see any beef jerkey, that's a bit dissappointing now that I'm home and craving some.

I know it over now but do they still have free admission when you join the NRA? just wondering for next time.

The crowd was a bit larger than I have seen recently, but not by much. What was noticeably longer was the line at Miwall Ammo. It looked to be about 40-50 people for the ammo side and the reloading side was 5-10 people.

Both Winchester and CCI primers were $25/1000 at MiWall. No small rifle magnum primers, what I had gone to stock up on. Ammo Brothers had Federal .22's at $25/333. The same box that Turners sells for $30. I have been seeing a lot more .22 lately but the price is still stuck between $25 and $40.
Basspro has that for $20 but availability is sketchy and it may be a 2 box limit due to stupid flippers.

So what did you get and how much? And no there is not free admission any more if you join NRA I think maybe a discount. Crowds were a bit up.

The guy that told you that vigorously defends gun shows. His main thing is he likes buying the reloads there at what he claims are bargain prices. Not everyone wants to or needs to shoot gun show reloads though. Also he wants shows to continue as a form of pro 2A support which I can see.

However I am big on telling it like it is and honestly shows for 95% of people are only good mainly as a form of entertainment. I own guns in 50+ chamberings and some of my guns are quite obscure and I enjoy collecting offbeat items so my buying style suits going to gun shows since I need rarer parts and ammunition.

I am not there for Beanie Babies, beef jerky, Indian beads and smelling BO. Nor do I need Scentesy candles or pillows or to have my shoes shined or car waxed. Nor do I desire to drink a $13 cup of beer. I can buy substandard AR parts on the internet cheaper or get ripped off on a Glock or an AR at many local gun shops or on CGN.

^ my point exactly. I don't need memory foam slippers, beef jerkey, a timeshare, or Nazi white power paraphernalia. Granted, some of the vendors were awesome people to deal with but there needs to be some quality control on the garbage snake oil salesman.
