    OC Gun show?

Has anyone been to the crossroads show at the orange county fairgrounds today?

I was thinking of heading on over (takes about an hour) if the lines aren't too bad.

I was there in the morning. The line to get in was longer than I have seen it in over a year, about a 10 minute wait. The crowd was a bit larger than I have seen recently, but not by much. What was noticeably longer was the line at Miwall Ammo. It looked to be about 40-50 people for the ammo side and the reloading side was 5-10 people.

Both Winchester and CCI primers were $25/1000 at MiWall. No small rifle magnum primers, what I had gone to stock up on. Ammo Brothers had Federal .22's at $25/333. The same box that Turners sells for $30. I have been seeing a lot more .22 lately but the price is still stuck between $25 and $40.
    And so it goes...

      I was thinking of going.

16 bucks just to wander around does not excite me.

what are they charging for parking?

      Any good jerky?

Saw some nice C&R guns; SKS (Russian, Chinese, Romanian, all $600-$675), a nice(but expensive all matching) SVT 40 $2500, some nice Service grade CMP M1 Garands in the $1250 range (three had original stocks with nice cartouches), lots of M1 carbines, plenty of the usual Winchester lever actions and a couple nice CW saddle ring carbines (one Sharps, one Spencer), lots of cool pistols including a Browning Hi-power with factory shoulder stock (NFA exempt). I didn't look much at the modern guns as there is nothing I am looking for. I did see a guy walking around with a PPT Glock 43 for sale at $950 IRRC.

Talked to some nice people and my wife and I had fun for almost 3 hrs.

                              huntercf,

Yeah I was there in the morning Saturday. Typical stuff being sold including AR's/complete uppers, 80% and plenty of ammo.

Personally I didn't find what I wanted so I left around noon and ordered mine over the net.

Have a good time at the show. Even if you do or don't find what you want at least you'll get a good walking out of it!
