    Bedroom Long Gun Storage Ideas

I am remodeling my master suit right now. It started with a bathroom remodel and I ended up expanding the bathroom into our closet and am adding a walk in closet. I have not had any long guns in the house since the kids were old enough to get around on their own. I have kept a few handguns (the three on my CCW) in a small bedside handgun safe. All of my long guns and other handguns have all been either in a safe out in the shop or a safe I have on another property.

I want to have a rifle and a shotgun in the house. I am looking for ideas from you guys. I am really open at this point. I have thought about a small light safe in the new walk-in closet. I have also thought about some kind of locking rack or even a built in closet. I have not started construction on the closet yet and still have to do some of the finish work in the bed room so options for something built in are wide open. The only requirement is that the weapons are secure from the kids. Thanks in advance.

A light in-wall, between the stud safe like a rifle locker would work. That's what I use in a closet. Not designed to protect the collection, just dissuade smash and grab guys unphased by the blaring alarm and four minute local or response time.

Great idea. I will have to look into that. I can frame it in as I build.

I am not looking to protect the collection, just keep them out of the hands of the kids while available to me. I had to engage a dog lot that long ago that was attacking my livestock with a pistol because I didn't have time to go to the shop for a rifle. It was a large rot and between the crappy light conditions, the stress of the situation (especially when it turned towards me) and all of that I missed the first two shots nicked it with the third and dropped it from about four feet with the fourth. Living on a farm, I want long guns handy... and you can add a zero to your 4 minute response time and you are in the ballpark for my area.

        Check out tacticalwalls.com
They may give you ideas since you are building between studs.
I like the smaller shelves for handguns...
They also have full length mirrors, for rifles and shotguns...

I just installed an In wall stack-on with a keypad. 176 shipped with a ten percent coupon from optic planet. The thing is sturdy. I crammed three long guns in there and still have two shelves for storing ammo and other stuff. I had to re drill to reposition the second shelf though.

I then covered it with a full length mirror. Can't tell its there.

I have a StackOn in wall mounted cabinet in my closet.
Its pretty flush to the wall so it doesnt take up space.
It holds a shotgun and AR along with somr mags/ammo

I recently purchased a Fort Knox Shotgun Box. Simplex lock. Only enough room for one long gun, pistol, and ammo. Also, it has to be special ordered from Fort Knox.

                    WTB - S&W 310 or 610 10MM Revolver.
                    WTB - Gen 1 Glocks
                    WTB - Ruger P91DC

I like that stack-on from wally.

In-wall with full length mirror to cover it.

                      Good price too.

I got one of these for Christmas (thanks sister!) and mounted it to my bedside table. The only problem would be someone stealing the whole bedside table - but I only keep a cheap wheelgun in there since its what the girlfriend is most comfortable with.

Why not build two walls, 4 feet apart with shoe shelves on the outside of the wall you want to use as a secret door?
