Go to an FFL and pay him to ship the gun. FFLs can use the USPS and cost is
$25 to 40 bucks instead of $80 to $100 via UPS and or Fed Ex.

    Call an FFL first.
Question, if you get the FFL involved do you need to go through a DROS all over again when the firearm comes back?

      No.

And the manufacture will ship it directly to your home. Which is legal.

UPS ALWAYS, I AM A COMMERCIAL SHIPPER FOR FEDEX AND UPS AND BY FAR UPS IS THE BEST. FEDEX IS ROUGH AND OVERPRICED, UPS COORPORATE WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS FOR ANY ISSUE THEY HAVE AND IF THERE IS ANY ISSUE THEIR INSURANCE ALWAYS PAYS.

I thought they had to ship back to where the firearm came from.

Just make sure you don't be a idiot like me. I labeled my box as going to Taran Tactical Innovations and took it to the local AIM Mail Center that I use to ship everything via UPS. They are normally very nice, however, I thought the lady's head was going to blow off when she read the "Tactical". She wouldn't buy my "It's just machine parts" explanation. Turns out they do not accept any firearms for any carrier.

FedEx was just down the road, and they shipped with no problem. However, I had changed the label to read T.T.I. just to be sure!
