I'm thinking this forum has enough members here that would make his collection of legal weapons look like nothing. First and foremost, Don't let cops into your house. If they must come in, don't let them wander around.
Don't open a safe without a warrant. I don't leave guns, ammo or anything like that laying around the house, it is all locked up or put away.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

This CBS New York article says he had more than weapons and ammo.

Prosecutors say the man was arrested for allegedly "recklessly creating a threat to public safety'' by stockpiling the weapons and ammunition.

"Police seized 15 handguns, two shotguns, more than 45,000 rounds of ammunition and 225 pounds of smokeless gunpowder. They say Shou also had unassembled parts of assault rifles and bulletproof vests. Authorities say he had a license for all but one of the guns."

I wonder if he was arrested under a fire code charge for the powder.

      225lb * 7000gn / average 25gn charge = 63,000 rounds.

      New York Post
after neighbors alerted cops that he was receiving large deliveries of firearms, police said Tuesday."

"Shou...had three high-power magazines of ammo...The guns are legal and he is a licensed gun owner,

"...charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon"

You have to give up your 4th amendment rights in your home to exercise your 2nd?!?! How are they allowing that to stand!?

"officers conducted an administrative pistol licensee review" Holy crap were in Europe, why did we leave there to come here?! sheesh.

"If convicted, Shou could spend up to seven years behind bars." What crime did he commit that is worth 7 years in prison? For having "high capacity" magazines?

Anyone know if this has been brought to the attention of the NRA? This is a case they definitely need to fight, before it spreads to other states.

From comments in this thread, this seems to be New York (State or City??)... And I seem to gather the jurisdiction has some sort of draconian firearms storage laws this citizen ran afoul of.

In NY, owning a gun is a privilege not a right (at least that's how it's treated) and no one has challenged them on it yet.

If you have to give up a right in order to be allowed to exercise another, then they are not rights at all.

The issue is lack of freedom to choose. If we took that attitude with ar rifles in CA, there would be no oll.

Sucks for that guy but hopefully this becomes the case that undoes those ****ty laws. Especially since scotus declined to hear Jackson v sf.

Also, since I don't reload, someone enlighten me if powder is actually that dangerous? It would make sense but I don't trust this complete **** storm of a biased article.
