I recently got into classic compact 380's.
The Sig P230 and P232 is a great gun too but I recently picked up a Bersa Thunder 380 and it shoots and feels just as well and cost half the price. I don't have a family pic with the Bersa just yet, but will have one when I get a Mauser HSc out of jail.

Bought this new in 1982. Back up and off duty use for 28 years. Finish took a beating, especially when it left my ankle holster hopping a fence during a foot pursuit. So off to Robar for the NP3 you see. That was done in the late 80's I want to say. Its not a fun gun to shoot, but its never had any reliability issues. Im thinking about restoring it back to the original blued finish, and adding some wood.

sound good, id like to see that family pic. as far as what ive read, the bersas work great, but they strongly lack in the looks department. the bersa looks like it's half the price lol. my wanting of a ppk is strictly novelty. if your ever interested ill trade you an ak for that ppk, seriously.I recently got into classic compact 380's.

nice! if you hadn't said you dropped it from the top of a fence id of never suspected anything, it still looks great. +1 on restoring it.Bought this new in 1982. I have a two tone S&W .380 that shoots/functions as it should...like others say it's not a ton of fun to shoot
It's not for sale currently but seeing what they are listed for on Gunbroker...."I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace."

Had a very early PPKS .380 I bought from a cop in 68 or 69. He had loaned it to Bianchi as a pattern for his holsters. It came with a couple of those. Should have kept it. Don't waste your money on a clone go for a real deal Walther and you'll be happy.Comment

being CA, like any other of roster pistol, just add $600 to whatever they'd retail in a freer state.
the ones ive seen on gunbroker, in descent condition, are going for the upwards of $1000+. ones in excellent condition $2000+. if this urge get one reach critical levels, i might just do it.Comment

ppk owners where are you?
Bringing this thread back for the Walther PP/PPK owners out there because I just picked up a 1964 Walther PP in 7.65, and not a Manurhin marked one. It's in jail until the 29th, but I'll be sure to post some photos once I have it back in my hands. I had been searching for a 7.65 version in excellent condition for years at the right price (most important part), and I couldn't be happier with the one I found.Last edited by cwilliams; 03-29-2016, 5:05 PM.Comment
