I have all mail order stuff shipped to my office because theres always someone there. The people I work with just assume that any personal packages for me are gun parts or ammo. I have pretty cool folks working at my place.

Did your magazine go off? Did the clerk have a pee stain on his pants?

When I come home from hunting or shooting all my neighbors ask did you catch anything? Wasn't like this a few years ago but all good now they even ask me for help if a wild animal is running around their back yard. Stay cool and they will follow
Another annoying liberal pet peeve. I am constantly asked by the leery libs at work who know I hunt, "Did you catch anything?" My answer, without hesitation, is "No, but I shot and killed a boar, or 25 doves, or a turkey". The predictable look of horror is always so priceless.

I'd wonder what the point of bringing it up was. If the employee were smart enough to call it a magazine, you'd think they'd be smart enough to know it wasn't unlawful to own one or store it in the car.

The other day I dropped my truck off to get new tires put on. When I came back to pick it up the cashier seemed very nervous. "Sir I just wanted to let you know that we... We found a magazine in your glove box when we were checking your cabin filter." I played it off jokingly by saying something like "what? You don't keep one there?. He said that "I don't mind but just thought you should know." I like to keep some spare mags in the car and usually have one ready to go in the glove box or door.

            1. I am thoroughly Impressed that he refered to it as a magazine.

            2. In that moment I realised how comfortable I have grown in my circles. Most friends would be like yeah of course you keep a spare mag.

Anyone else get a little reality check like that. Like you forget the fear around guns and irrational thinking in the people republic of California?
When I lived in AZ he woulda found my .45 around the magazine.

I've delivered many customers cars and have seen all kinds of stuff. I've never said a word about any of it. It's none of my business. I was hired to do a job and that's it.

Yeah it doesn't surprise me. I work out of my own garage, and I leave the door open all the time. on the wall is a pegboard covered in all the blue guns (gun molds) I use for my holsters. I have about 40 up there now. Its in full view of the rest of the complex (townhouse style homes) and I don't worry about it.

Actually found out that 3 different neighbors are pro gun as well because of it. But recently I noticed the new neighbor (who I have seen talking to all the other neighbors over the last week or so) hasn't introduced themselves, and has basically ignored all my friendly waves and whatnot. I asked one of the other neighbors and sure enough the new one had asked him if she should "worry about number 3" because of all the guns I have hanging on my wall. Yknow... the fake ones... that are BRIGHT BLUE

I have noticed over the last few years that my county which has always been pretty far right is slowly being invaded by "flatlanders"....

My prior local mechanic was a SOT and NFA dealer...he had an M1919 in his vault at the shop, belted and ready to go.

When I worked in a tire shop that did all around maintenance like oil, air filters, cabin air filter, and all the other checks that was one of our things that we inspect mainly because it is extra $$ but it does need replacing like the one that supplies air to the engine. But the other reason we check them is in case of a mystery shoppers we would get a few every week or so and they have a list of things that are supposed to be done.

I have a friend who's a dentist in town. He's a big gun guy and regularly takes stuff into the office.

I enjoy my life here and ignore everyone else. They mutually ignore me. It's a good system.

Got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and they vacuumed the inside of the car. I guess a piece of .223 brass must have fallen out of my range bag and was found when they vacuumed the carpets. The person left the brass on my dashboard. I knew something was up when I paid my bill and saw a group of workers huddled up pointing and looking at me. I found it odd that people can be so spooked about a piece of brass. I could only imagine the look on their faces if they found a live cartridge.
