When you know he's a poser

I love talking guns. When that topic comes up in social gatherings I make sure to speak up. One thing that always entertains me is when "that" guy has to look "the part" speaks up.

What lines have you heard that tell you that you're talking with a poser?

My favorites are:
"If I were to get a gun for any occasion it would be a Desert Eagle." (This is a line usually from 40+ yr old men with small man parts.) No offense meant for those that actually own Desert Eagles.

Last night talking with a guy I've known for 20 years when he saw me buying .22 ammo said..."I'll just buy me a glock and all my problems will be solved" as he held out his hand sideways gansta style.

My Mossy 590 solves all my problems. I can blast holes in tanks with that thing. You don't even have to aim...

But I don't even need to go there. All I do is rack the slide and the bad guys run away screaming.

Seriously. My BIL just bought a shotgun for home protection. He keeps it unloaded, because he thinks that if anyone breaks in all he will have to do is rack it a couple times and they will go running.

People are nuts.

I have a buddy who keeps a friggin MACHETE by his bed, because it is somehow "safer" than having a gun. He never hears me out when I tell him how much worse hacking someone to death with a blade would be than just shooting them. His main arguement is that he doesn't want a gun in the house because of his kids and that the machete won't penetrate walls lol.

Same guy had a broken sliding door that wouldn't lock for 2 years.

All things Ive heard from people buying guns:

Firing a warning shot to scare intruders away.

Clips.

Racking a slide to scare people away.

Using a laser to scare people away.

Getting a pump shotgun because its more childproof because a child will not be able to rack it.
