There are very few instances where I will willingly pay more for something without seeing any increased return on investment. This is one of those instances. I don't particularly like price increases, but in this case, its well worth it - IMO.

That seems logical but...you probably do, in fact, pay more for the same in many instances.

e.g. 1 Gal. of Milk in 1995 cost $2.54, 20 years later the same gal. cost $3.75.

The cost went up little by little over 20 years but the "return" was the same.

we will be increasing NRA dues for the first time in more than 20 years.
In our case, NRA hasn't raised the price for the same membership for over 20 years.

Not beefing with your opinion, just making an observation.

The NRA had a sale in December... I would call and ask if they will still honor the December sale price of $500 for EPL

They have sales all the time. I'd wait for a sale if looking to get a life membership. At the SCI show in Vegas last week they were selling them for $500, and a month or two ago had the $300 sale for life membership.

That was a mistake and should NOT be relied upon in the least. We will NOT see $300 life again. Just in case readers mistakenly think they can hold out for that.

I pay them every year and it cost $33 to renew this year. I'm not "saving" by giving them less every year.
