Okay..I asked a simple question and now I get called a troll by so called senior members who act more like 'junior high school members' ..and ux02 'veteran member' is saying because I'm a Californian, I'm nefarious. You know, I could give rats *** how high you all are on the pecking order (in your case 'hens'), but treating others with some degree of respect whether they be a junior member or a methuselah member, should be a given. Yeah, that's right, I don't just sit back and take it, especially people who talk in 3rd person like I'm not here. If you have nothing to contribute to my pretty basic question, maybe your better halfs gots some 'honey dos' for you.

Your friend could buy them as your birthday present and keep them for you.... you could use them anywhere but here. I would not want my name on any purchase paperwork for full capacity magazines REGARDLESS of where they were mailed to after the purchase.Comment

Good advice and I thank you.

Maybe I'm wrong but my gut feeling is that ux02 was being sarcastic and his comment was a show of solidarity with the ridiculousness that is CA gun law.Okay..I asked a simple question and now I get called a troll by so called senior members who act more like 'junior high school members' ..and ux02 'veteran member' is saying because I'm a Californian, I'm nefarious. I have bought several High Capacity Magazines online and had them shipped directly to the person I was buying them for.
I can freely say I have also bought High Capacity Magazines for myself and they are stored in other States awaiting my return to use them in that State.
You are going to find many places see the CC address as CA and will refuse the sale. Most on GunBroker do not care.
...and about a violation of PC simply buying online and have the item shipped to a State where it is legal.... no there is no way in hell a DA or LEO can get that crap past a Judge.
The CRIME must be committed inside CA... and paying for something online doesnt meet the legal requirements needed to ascertain jurisdiction let alone the requirement to have an actual crime.
I am sure the "ham sandwich" crowd will be by to explain how a DA can get a Grand Jury to issue an arrest on anything...Comment

The problem is the op title to this thread. He is either uneducated about what standard magazines are or has eaten the facists speak of assault weapons and high capacity magazines.
The 20 round magazines that go into my m1a are standard magazines. Just like the 30 round magazines that go into my ak wasr.
Go to 44mag.com and buy your buddy all the magazines he deserves!
Tell the state.gov to pound sand that you are not allowed to buy gifts for friends.
But please get your definitions correct, standard magazine.
Or nutless gimped 10/30 round sheeple mags.Beans and BulletsComment

I really dont care if you call "Rape" "surprise random sex"... the act meets the LEGAL term of Rape.
High Capacity Magazines are restricted by Law. If you want to call them "my little pony express clips" that doesnt change what they are in the eyes of the law.Comment

Another great answer and I thank you. Gunbroker, might be the way to go.

Probably never result in a conviction but definitely might cause a load of problems if they decide they want to hassle you.... I don't want to be in any more data bases than I already am over something so petty.Originally Posted by CWDraco

As somebody in the thread already pointed out: with the wording of the law, just purchasing the magazine could be construed as "the crime" regardless of where the contraband ends up being stored. The CRIME must be committed inside CA...
If you are in another state and buy it: no problem. If you are here and buy it: MAYBE a problem.Would you be making the purchase while being in state of California?
The elements of PC section 32310 (violation is a felony) are satisfied if a person within California "buys" a large capacity magazine.Last edited by bountyhunter; 02-06-2016, 2:29 PM.Comment

The vast majority of people who see an ar15 in big5..call it an assault weapon. .becuase they never get corrected. They now hear high capacity magazines and connect it with evil weapon of mass destruction.
Call troll all you want, just accept you will be helping out the facists who want to destroy your constitutional rights by playing along with the misinformation they spread on what a tool is called.Beans and BulletsComment
