I'll try to up my loads and see what comes of it

I took 4064 up until I was at 105% of case fill and still could not get more than 85% pf the powder to burn.
If you could fill the case to 115% and finally reach 59,000 PSI, you would then be getting 90% powder burn.

Moral of the story: 4064 sucks for your application.

Here are some cleaner burning powders to try:

Cartridge          : .223 Rem.
Bullet             : .224, 55, Hornady FMJ-BT w/c 2267
Useable Case Capaci: 26.532 grain H2O = 1.723 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.260 inch = 57.40 mm
Barrel Length      : 16.0 inch = 406.4 mm

Predicted Data for Indicated Charges of the Following Powders.
Matching Maximum Pressure: 55000 psi, or 379 MPa
or a maximum loading ratio or filling of 103 %

Yep, it's only for a split second so why not, I just loaded the same load but with verified dry brass. It was a non issue.

Your target would have shown inconsistencies due to the differences of wet powder. What did your targets look like?

OP, and that is why if i wet clean my brass i oven bake them good or let them sit for a week...but usualy im not that patient so, i dry tumble them loke usual.

Lost quite a bit of accuracy, usually all my holes would be touching, they opened up to about an inch
