I'm in my 2nd year of membership, the friendliness of the staff is why I joined. Plus I like having a RO walking the firing line. Glad to hear they retained a lot of the original staff. Plan to head there today to shoot a couple new pistols.Comment

I just skimmed through this thread rather confused...I shot there last night and it seemed just like every other time I have been there, same staff, no new faces, same RO as last time. Spent an enjoyable hour like I usually do on Thursday evenings. This is my favorite place to shoot, it's convenient for me, safe, helpful friendly staff, cleaner than any other indoor range I've been to...when my membership expires I will be renewing.
Sounds like the OP is an ex-employee, probably "tail trying to wag the dog" kinda guy who though he is smarter than the boss and should have been in charge. When I find I have one of those in my employ, if they're not willing to change I fire them too.Comment

I was at FT3 today for the first time. Came to this thread after hearing there were problems. As far as I can tell everything is operating fine. Great modern range, fantastic customer service, and clean cut layout. I can't find a single wrong thing with this place other than the parking and I'm only saying that because I can't find a single thing wrong with this place.Comment

Then the OP is a F'ing idiot for posting this crap up.Comment

My wife and I went shooting at FT3 tonight. While we thankfully saw some familiar faces, the vibe was definitely different.
The previous management is gone, as are some of the people that were connected to them. I am glad some of the ROs are still there as they are really what makes this range special. It would be sad if the issues at the ownership/management level impacted those at the worker level.
Out of respect for those workers there tonight (most of which I know) I did not ask for details of the goings on. Time will tell what comes of FT3. The true story will come out and I'm sure it will be somewhere between what derector is saying and the current reports of 'everything is fine'.
I hope it all works out for us shooters, the range workers, and the management/owners. FT3 has been a great range in OC and it would be a shame for all if it gets FUBAR'd.Comment

Range ain't going anywhere if Oak Tree is still in business Field Time will be too. I have a feeling we will never get the full true unbiased story. I suppose really it isn't our business. It may come out I have been in and out of the gun industry many years and I hear a lot of the gossip so maybe I will find out something. People tell me a lot of stuff even if I don't want to hear it or don't care. Human nature I suppose.
Ranges aren't like burger places there is fewer of them so they tend to stay in business unless grossly mismanaged or things beyond their control like local laws and sentiments.Comment

I am fairly sure there will be lawsuits/legal wrangling going on in relation to the incidents of this week. Anytime lawsuits start flying things can go full retard and FUBAR things.Range ain't going anywhere if Oak Tree is still in business Field Time will be too. I was there tonight and familiar faces were still there working. Pretty much their ammo selection is very slim, they said they aren't sure when they will be stocking more ammo, but everything is up in the from what the RO said. Just glad to see familiar faces and they are still open.Comment

I think he means their own FT3 reload ammunition.
Their ammo was decent for range ammo and with the member discount the cost was good. Hope they ramp this back up too, but I think the person that ran it is one of the people now gone.Comment
