    Venting about californians...

Just Venting here, but I need some backup....

All I hear lately, in beautiful Southern California, is how "we need more gun control and how things are getting out of hand with all the shootings and it's because there's too many guns being sold." Yet there are currently 3 VIOLENT, ESCAPED INMATES on the loose no more than 15 minutes away from my house. Now everyone at my work (and other social settings) are fearful for their safety. Yet these are the same individuals that have (and will be) voting to take guns out of our (law abiding) hands! I don't understand.

Maybe I'm the idiot, but it's times like these when I am thankful that I can cook up some popcorn, turn on the notebook, and kick back and clean my colt with small piece of mind that if one of those inmates tried to come in my home, they wouldn't be welcomed nicely. Sound off

This is truely a strange state. They want more gun control but at the same time they are releasing thousands of inmates on early release programs. About 2-3 years ago, California had over 170,000 incarcerated inmates in state prison. Now that number is below 130,000. Over 40,000 inmates released to the streets within 2-3 years through new release programs like AB 109, Prop 47, and Non Violent Second Striker. California does so much for convicts but what have they done for the law abiding citizen?

I'll add that some sellers piss me off. I just finished dealing with a guy selling ammo and told him I'd buy half of the ammo. The guy then asked when I'd picked them up and told him within a couple of hours. Next thing I know the guy was like, oh wait, nvm. I have a guy who's going to buy the whole lot, even though I contacted him first and he asked when I'd pick up the ammo...

What's with all these people selling to the highest bidder?
***PSA: Don't be that guy and post "Contact me, I'm interested". Dummy, YOU'RE the one who's interested. YOU contact the seller! ***

You could print up some door flyers that say "I'm not a gun owner, and I believe all violent escaped inmates must agree to not harm me if they decide to attack my house. Thanks for your consideration."

Pass them around to these people and tell them to post them on their doors really quick - this could be a matter of life and death...

Politicians in this state could give two ****s about the public's safety. They want to control the public so it has to come to them for everything (saftey, medical, money, food.)

40,000 released inmates running around? This makes me more upset than the fact that I can't get me a sweet VP9 unless I pay double msrp on the private market

Who are you listening to, the Huff Poo? All I hear is the government wants to pick my pocket and steal my liberties.

Shut off the MSM, it's poison.

How does this in any way relate to OPs post? Anyway, seller wants to sell all his ammo. You only want to buy half. Of course he's going to give priority to the person who'll take it all. I know it sucks, but you have to know if you're only going to offer a partial purchase, you run the risk of someone jumping in and taking the whole enchilada.

Switching gears... we hear ya OP. The downside to living in this beautiful state is the infestation of bleeding heart lunatics.

I live maybe 1500 yards from the Main and I couldn't feel more safe. Worry more about the dickhead deputies who were too busy watching television or planning their next vacation with their smart phones in the duty huts to notice three scumbags escaping. Just keep to your side of the 55 (the Orange Curtain) and you'll be just fine. The A-rab is in Anaheim and the two Chinitos are in Westminster or Garden Grove, so quit trippin'.

The majority of people in the state drink that kool aid. That's why the gun laws are so screwed up.

Americans live their lives comfortable numb. Now they are worried because three inmates escaped from the county jail. Meanwhile day in and day out there are as or even more violent criminals in our communities just waiting for a comfortable numb victim to pray upon.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

If I am not mistaken these are three guys convicted of murder that escaped.
