Saiga conversions / Arsenal are the best, only the Russians make the correct bore diameter for 5.45 x 39, every other manufacturer suffers awful accuracy or keyholes.

This is my dream, at the moment.

Not suggesting you buy the above, OP, just sharing my fantasy LOL.

In addition to all the above suggestions, for a starter 74, I'd recommend this highly:

        Buy mine

((10)) Bulgarian Double Rivet AK74M clone, was my answer to the SGL31-94/95 since they were not easy to get in CA for under $1,500

Built on a 1.5mm Armory USA receiver, Original Bulgarian/Russian Chrome Lined Barrel. Arsenal FCG, Arsenal 4.5 Poly Folder (pinned) comes with Original Ribbed Butt side folder too. Arsenal Pistol Grip makes 6 US parts to comply with the 922R, but I use US Made Followers in my mags to make it 7 parts total just to be safe.

Put together by sjgunguy24 and myself when I worked with him at Valkyrie Arms.

Bout to list it soon, lol.

He is probably recanting early stories of the Century Tantals that have been barreled as 545x39 but were chambered in 556...

A better one should have a chrome lined barrel, but with less and less corrosive ammo around, it's less critical.
