LaPierre challenges zero to gun debate

    This could get interesting.

The head of the National Rifle Association blasted President Obama Wednesday over his gun control actions in an 8-minute video, saying the president has “laid waste to the America we remember” and challenging the commander-in-chief to a one-on-one debate on the Second Amendment.

The definition of a lose-lose-lose is when you have a spokesman like this pushing your viewpoint to the public. You do remember that television is a VISUAL medium...... you can ask Nixon how it worked out for him.

As Rodney Dangerfield once said: the last time I saw a mouth like that, it had a hook in it.

I'm sorry but this is Wayne's crappy way of making up for not being at the CNN townhall. Actions speak louder than words, and the NRA's actions haven't been what I'd like to see lately. Much like the Republican Party of the last few years.

What worries me is one slip up could have huge effects to the public image of the NRA. It's a bad idea.

Obama will not accept the challenge.

In neither case was it/will it be to the advantage of the challenged party to accept. So, NRA didn't, and the president will not.

Exactly! Sorry, we live in a world where image matters. And Wayne screams, "rich old doddering white guy." And he has a history of not doing so great in front of the camera. We need someone more charismatic. My vote would be for Ben Shapiro or Sheriff Clarke.

And personally, I agree with the NRA not showing up to the Town Hall. It was a staged event with screened questions and there was no reason to believe it was going to be neutral and objective. Moreover, if you're serious about wanting to solve the problem and work with the players, you don't go blasting them every chance you get. But that's Obama the great divider. So don't pull that crap and then be surprised that people won't give you the time of day and show up to your little dog an pony show. But he laid down the gauntlet at the Town Hall and the NRA just picked it up. So he better have the stones to follow through. But my bet is that he won't.

How about John Kerry? That guy's face looks like it is perpetually melting off, and we send him to other countries to be the face of our nation!

:-) Very Funny Wayne would lose though. Instructor Zero would win!

Why would Wayne show up to a pre staged event where he could only ask one pre screened question and would then have to sit down and shut up for the rest of the night while Obama spread his propaganda? Besides, the real power in the NRA is it's members which were there for all to see.

I agree the real strength in the NRA is the members, which is why I'm a member. I just feel that the NRA could be way more vocal against Obama than they have been.
