You can get brass for 22 cpr so I dont think I will be trying it out.
FTE is not an uncommon issue for a steel cartridge. Some guns are more prone to it, others less.

Yes. And I generally won't patronize such ranges or if I need to I shoot stuff they can't use like 9mm Largo or 9x19 Berdan primed stuff and take as much of my brass wirh me as I can even 22lr so they don't even get the scrap value.

Only will go if forced to by a friend or something and even then I usually decline to go. I love BLM land.

They won't take ownership of sorting steel and aluminum out of the brass.... and magnets are pretty ineffective on aluminum.

Ranges that do this are crazy. I almost don't want to go to ASP (old Centermass) in Vacaville anymore because they have as sign that says no steel or aluminum case ammo.

Are you in the shooting range business or the brass selling business?

If someone is in the business of reloading they already need to sort brass, so let them.

That's why The Gunrange (North Highlands/Sac) is the best. Not the best location.

Ruger factory manuals for the P series guns say steel case ammo is fine. I should run a bunch through a beater P89 I have and see how it does.

Steel case is not a problem for Ruger 9's

Yea, I thought about the blazer after I posted. But still not that hard to do by hand. Seems like a good way to lose customers.
