ARs in Cali?

I could not care less what people spend their money on. But with all these ridiculous features on ARs . . .I do not see the attraction is. Only analogy I can think of is it is kind of like asking a guy, "why you like to go out with that old lady with kids, when here is a nice young thing here with no kids just as interested in you." If I lived in another state where ARs are unaltered, yes it is a no-brainer why a person wants one.

yup, I picked up a DPMS kit for $299 on black friday. lower cost me $35 + tax. Being DROSed with other stuff so call it $5. I'm going to be into it less than $350 if I decide to build it up.

I struck a nerve with my question? The reason I ask, I want an AR and other things not even gun related that California has strict rules and regulations on. I am seriously thinking of leaving. The laws that exist in this state are an insult. For instance went to BPS recently, first time buying a firearm in Cali since moving back from the NW. I did not like the process. Apparently, they do a background check. You pass. Then you can buy the gun. Them you have to wait 11 days to pick it up?! Ridiculous. The questions asked, etc. . . Everything.

I am thinking FL. It is everything California could be, but isn't.

they didn't do a background there at BPS. they only take the info down and send to CADOJ. CADOJ does the background check over the next 10-days.

the questions? well the ~11 questions you personally filled out on the 4473 are the same no matter what state you live in. there are 4 separate CA questions that the clerk usually verbally asks you, but those are basically repeats of the other 11.

I am repeating what was told me. I asked him a couple times to make sure I heard correctly. He told me something like in this day and age of course its near instant. That the waiting period is for "cooling off."

I know in Oregon, they call, and in my experience takes anywhere from 5 minutes (if that even) to 20 minutes.
