Dude probably figures anyone selling a used Glock 21 for $500 must be shady and willing to do anything for a buck.

Sketchy people on Armslist

I live in a state where FTF transactions are legal but have yet to find something worth buying on Armslist. The sellers either want too much or they are scams. OTOH, I picked up an excellent condition Glock 17 with night sights, two standard and two 10 round mags from Cabelas for $400; way better than anything I have ever seen on Armslist.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment

Let me know where a gen 3 21 is 500 all day long please. 21's aren't the same price as 17's and 19's. Usually 549.99 then about 50 in tax so 600 out the door.Comment

Here's a Gen 3 for $500 http://www.armslist.com/posts/486833...gen-3-handguns and a Gen 4 for $540 http://juggernautarms.com/product-tag/glock-pistol/ . Yes, tax is additional but for us Nevadan's with a CCW, no bcg is required.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment

How does the message in that picture seem "sketchy?" A majority of people who sell guns privately don't want to use an FFL for privacy (the government has no business keeping track of gun transactions) and to avoid paying fees.
Asking for a money order before sending a firearm is normal too. That is how private party transfers work when the buyer and seller are far away from each other. Who would ship a gun to a random person without getting money first? That would be very stupid. If you're too scared of someone stealing a money order then don't buy the gun, don't waste people's time by pretending to want to buy a gun.
Stick with FFL's if your so uncomfortable with private party transfers, the government will intrude on your purchase and keep track of you, just the way you like it. And it's impossible for a FFL to steal a money order, right?Last edited by Robert458; 01-12-2016, 6:43 PM.Comment
