Why no arms and legs armor

Why is it I see body armor being sold but what about armor for your arms and legs? Are they just not worth protecting?

Having worn the shoulder armor and the leg armor they made its very bulky and cumbersome. Its hard enough to move around while wearing a combat load why make it worse?

Because the chances of surving from a gun shot on one of your limbs is much higher than if you were hit in one of the organs?

Take a look at what the Aholes from the Hollywood bank robbery were wearing. Search for the LA Police Museum.

            North Hollywood Shootout.

Could make lots of sense if you don't plan on the typical multi-mile hump of a military operation.

Body armor exists to give our gun fighters the best chance of surviving an armed encounter (be it with terrorists or criminals), not so much to keep them unharmed.

Arm armor exists - one example: http://www.bulletproofbodyarmorhq.co...df37dfd0cfb77b

And there's the gear the EOD folks wear.

The only people I ever saw wearing shoulder armor in Iraq were Army MPs driving around EOD techs. They said they didn't mid it so much because they were humping it everywhere. They got to sit most of the time. That stuff looked heavy as ****.

Ballistic armor is always a compromise between protection and mobility.

Anyways, "full-body armor" does indeed exist.......... they're called tanks.

I would never want to wear full body armor. My plate carrier is bulky enough without even more crap

There's thigh armor (resembles drop leg molle but has armor) and bicep/shoulder armor, neck etc. Very bulky. Only worth wearing if you're standing guard somewhere or SWAT entering buildings

There are a few people I know whom I wish would wear this.
