I asked my dad. He is a cop in Newport. He said he isnt afraid of pulling someone over and being shot with an AK or AR..... it is the sawed-off shotgun, and handgun. He and many people in his department think this CA gun controll thing is BS to.

I live in Newport, I sure hope he's not afraid of getting shot period. I think the last murder was about 5 years ago when that lady ran over her husband 15+ times for cheating on her. Dude we are way behind the Orange Curtain here. Your more likely to get shot in Vanilla Park, I mean Villa Park and know you thats not going to happen. The worst thing that happens down here is when the whole of (909) invades for the summer, or drunks on Fourth of July, or even the occasional top quality bar fight at Cassidy's. Well, not so occasionally, frequently. Tourists on locals. Top notch viewing just don't run them over when it spills into the street.

I think thats the opinion of the vast majority of LEOs in the state. One of the LEOs at UCM has told me that he will even help me build up my STAGs once they are either regd or I get a non pistol grip

All this talk about who be knowing the most about life on da streetz is fun and all. But the question remains. Why exactly should our feelings/attitude towards a criminals' misuse of OLL's, be any different than other legal items with potential for misuse in criminals' hands?

Ex Power Ranger had that couple killed on that yacht. You know..... had em tied to an anchor and drowned em alive. That was like a year or so ago.

WOW you guys are soo far off.. I know this is going on. C'mon.. paper trail?? all you have to do is shave the number off and there is no trail. Or they can just report it stolen and then sell them to their sisters BF to build. There are ways.. please it would be a nice thought that all of these sold are legal but its pretty easy to just go out and buy one..

and as far as buying guns on the street ya its pretty easy but ur not gonna get an AR. Your pretty limited to whatever they have on hand or whatever they just boosted from whoevers house. I have three diff people i can do through for guns, except i would rather do it legit. And guns on the street are not that cheap.. if its clean then its about $200 for like a 38 or a 9mm. $300 for others. Shotguns you can get pretty cheap.. It all depends on how many heads they have on them.

You state that you fear the possibility of low-lifes latching on to the OLL situation and getting an off-list lower but then at the end of your post suggest that you will avoid this threat by moving to Georgia....ARE YOU KIDDING??? Hate to break it to you bud, but the low-lifes can buy pretty much anything there.

Bottom line, you are wrong, the majority of criminals don't buy in the gun stores; they buy stolen guns. Furthermore, most criminals use little pocket handguns more than "assault weapons". Crimes committed with assault weapons make up less than 2 percent of all gun crime nation wide. Stop being so paranoid and wrong to boot.

Lastly, even if all gangbangers built OLLs, their illegal use of them shouldn't affect our ability to legally acquire them and use them for lawful purposes.

A.. You get what you pay for.. if you knew jack about gangs you would know that.. If you get caught with a gun used in other crimes you pretty much take the fall for those too.. They will pay a lot for a gun with no murders on it(or heads).

how about you reread the very first post before you sound like a dumb ******. i said if you ever think about it.. not that we should not buy it. It was a thought! And please don't preach to me about gangs and what they do and don't do, I was in a gang, I've been on both sides of the gun before i was 16. One day i looked arround and all my friends were either locked up, dead or drugged out. I survived with a semi clean record and decided to turn things arround.
