Your chance of being in a mass murder committed with an AR15 in California is less likely than winning the super lotto. Is that reaching a boiling point.

The only crescendo I hear is Obama's hysterical cries for gun control. Look at the "mass" murder statistics for yourself. Lots of family disputes involved, where there is some mental illness sprinkled in.

We don't have a gun crisis. We probably have a mental health and dysfunctional family crisis, but we have known that for a long long time.

The other gun statistic which reaches out is black on black crime in some of our major cities. The one with strict gun control.

It's sad to see so many people killed by a religious zealot yesterday. But instead of banning guns we really should examine banning superstitions and religion. That'll cut back on a lot of social ills.

Well OP, I'm gonna side with you, although your use in terminology I save for a mega quake or lasting power outage.

If they found out the guns were purchased and registered since this freak returned back from Saudi and Pakistan, I can see Obama using executive action to halt all sales or background checks for a number of days, to catch up and fortify background checks systems. Perhaps he should (ouch did I say that openly). Just for a short time. We are under attack after all and this guy should have been on someones radar. Right age, right travel, right opportunity.

Not a fan of executive action at all, so he should have congress do a quick pass. I'll tell you what. I'd let my sale be held up for 30 days to allow a better blockade against terrorists any day of the year. Course not thinking about the first time buyer, I mean last minute buyer.

Or I see Jerry Brown doing it himself temporarily. He has a fair outlook, but 20 lives are worth it if he can be guaranteed Homeland and FBI can get their **** together.
