    Why is .22 still nuts?

Ok we all know the prices pre panic and it was never hard to get it. I understood it at first but why has it stayed so high? I have 7k rounds left and havent bought any pre panic and Ive passed it up at Walmart.

With other ammo prices coming back down to pre panic why is .22 still nuts? I have a hard time believing people are shooting that much more 22 then before the panic. When will it come back and balance out? I know guys are stacking it but when does that end?

I'd never pass it up at Walmart, I haven't seen .22lr on the Walmart shelves since 2011. Down to under 1k rounds and I don't shoot my .22s just so my son can shoot longer. Pretty bad when I'm considering a .223 for him because .22lr is too hard to find.

It's not that hard to find. Check this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1135089

I see it all the time here and my Walmart is 5 miles from the shooting spot.

I see it every once in awhile, but it sells out extremely fast.

Because people know when it's coming in and are there that morning to rush it as soon as the store opens. I'm certain they have employees at Walmart on payroll providing the information. It's the only thing that makes sense to me with the .22 at Walmart.

Easy. Because the anti's are still talking about guns/ammo. .22 is the cheapest ammo to stockpile thousands of rounds.

Saw a vid showing that 22 production has actually become.more expensive that centerfire production so its not as cost productive to produce. Could be a load of bull. Dunno.
