What makes that not a bad price?
I have carried daily iwb with the same belt for 4 years.2.25 boston leather belt. $50.
Magpul is somewhat like apple.....name brand gets name brand price and now has little to do with superior quality versus competition.Beans and BulletsComment

This says it has a polymer insert and although it may not be the same design/ construction if it is similar to a belt I got a from "511" last year...
it looks great but the plastic insert between the two pieces of leather is too stiff for MY daily use (maybe if great if you open carry with a very heavy handgun).
I tried wearing it but it didn't seem to soften at ALL overtime, like regular leather does.
Then a piece broke at the buckle after wearing it only a handful of times.
I'm not putting this belt down but I am of the mind that companies should stick to what they're good at making in the house and not subcontracting or drop shipping From other companies, not that I know that this belt is like that.
so many companies are trying to pull off a constant expansion of products endlessly but let's face it not too many pull that off in the long term.Comment

It's not a polymer insert like you have seen in the past, This is a two layer belt with the interior layer being a reinforced polymer. This says it has a polymer insert and although it may not be the same design/ construction if it is similar to a belt I got a from "511" last year...

I can assure you this is not a drop shipped product with the magpul name placed on it. Over a year of design, testing and refinement went into this product in house.Comment

^^ Thanks Tmac, for the clarification that this belt is a new different design and not being dropshiped.
that's good to hear, even though I did not directly accuse them of that.
I was just letting people know about my experience with a belt of leather and plastic insert.Comment

Aker International Belts can be found for around $50 on Amazon or maybe even less from a particular CGN member in the FS section. 1.5" and Polymer insert makes the belt super stiff. There is another model that is 1.25" for dressier occasions.

$36.00 for a NICE quality leather belt that does the job every bit as good or better than the magpul belt does at almost triple the price. I've worn my Amish belt now for at least 4 years and it looks like the day I took it out of the box. I'd recommend one of these in a heartbeat over one with a fancy little M on it.Comment
