It's very easy to accomplish that in Ca. That's not gonna keep me in Ca for long though. I'm hopeful things will get better in Ca. I've lived here my whole life and sadly I don't think things are gonna get better.

I've been warming my wife up to the idea of moving out of state for about 5 years. At first she wasn't very welcoming to the idea. Which is understandable both of our families and friends live here. We both have good jobs here in Ca. My wife and I share custody of her son with her ex who also lives near by in Ca. We have a great relationship with our sons biological father. He and his wife also want to leave Ca for different reasons and recently asked us if we've ever considered leaving Ca. Possibly moving out of state to the same area, not a bad thought, would keep both parents and our kids my and my wife's biological kids and their sibling close and would get me standard mags, no bullet button or handgun roster.

Firearm freedom doesn't rank nearly as high on my wife's list of reasons to leave Ca as it does on mine. For me firearm freedom is the number one reason to leave Ca, there's many other reasons but guns are number one. Fortunately the price of real estate is high on my wife's list. Both of us would love to live in an area with a high percentage of Christians. The good news is she's starting to want to move out of state more and more and is bring it up occasionally. She has ties to TX and I have ties to FL. I'd probably lean towards FL because I have many friends there's and I love water sports. I can see us on the boat in the Keys right now. I'm not opposed to TX either I'm sure we could do some boating and be right at home with the high numbers of Christians in TX. Keep in mind I want out so bad I'd be fine moving to NV or AZ tomorrow. For my wife though she needs more reasons then just guns. Worst case scenario we'll put in about 10 more years here in Ca and then we're out of here.

I like to watch Youtube videos of shooting and gun reviews. I also like to buy gun magazines, the kind you read. I feel more and more left out when all the articles and reviews are about cool hi-cap mags, handguns that I can't get, or NFA items that I can't even touch.

We are basically at a technological standstill her in CA. In fact we are in a regression as the rest of the nation moves ahead with suppressors, new calibers developed for SBR rifles, and new handguns. We can pretend to play along, but it is not the same with our neutered guns and 10rnd mags. We can't enhance our shooting experience with the best new equipment.

In fact I am more focused on turning my ARs into bolt or pump action to avoid outright confiscation! Sad but true.

Who really cares about having a firearm registry, open or concealed carry, SBR, suppressors, buy a firearm and take it home in twenty minutes... Heck, what really matters is, where else can you go to snow skiing in the morning and swim in the ocean later in the afternoon, then a latte in the same day.

Erosion of your constitutional rights is part of the price you pay to live here.
IMO the reasons people that don't leave is that they have property/business here, family here or a job that pays more than it's worth and they can't walk away from it because of accumulated debt or some combination of the three.

We have one party rule here and it isn't going away any time soon.

I agree 100%. If only I could get away, I would...but for now, my wife's accumulating pension benefits from her job, my decent paying one...and the adult kids keep us here.

I have, however, purchased a small place in AZ that gives provides me a breath of fresh air a few times a year to talk about my favorite hobby, shoot some fun firearms not available here, and hope for the future that I can get back there permanently...or by some act of the Good Lord, something happens to reverse the trend of California gun rights.

I moved from Norcal to Colorado a short while ago, shot a full auto/selet fire, bought me another ak, bought ammo, getting my ccw done this week

I don't understand what we have done to this country, state by state laws are ridiclous. I do not in any way think this does anything to "curb" violence

I'm also interested in getting a suppressor and building an sbr out here, but from what i was told today, it will cost me about 2k in total

Lawyer fees, can, etc...
