Hmm... Glad I skipped my plan of going there yesterday evening.

I'm guessing he either brought his buddy or a real buddy. I'm betting towards the latter since most folks, I would guess, would just kill themselves at home if they had access.

I've been there a few times where single individuals walk in wanting to rent a gun, only to be turned away and told to bring their "buddy."

I heard about this last night shortly after it happened, unfortunately I don't have a lot of details at this point but what I was told was that no one other than the victim was injured.

At this time it sounds like the victim was not a regular attendee but was a guest of a semi-regular attendee.
I do not know the name of the victim nor of the person(s) he was with.


I will add this, I know there is a desire to discuss this and that is normal and fine.
I also know there is often an urge to disparage the shooter/victim in these cases and I understand why.

However I want to remind you all that not only did this happen in front of your fellow Calgunners, the Shoot Coordinator who had to deal with this and the person who's friend this is are also Calgunners and likely to read this thread.

Please take in to account what affect this event and your words are having on them and their lives and keep things civil and respectful.
I guarantee today is hard enough without any of us adding to it.

My heart goes out for the family and friend. That is so hard to understand/accept for them.
