Yes Crossroads. $12 admission, $5 parking. Fairly light crowd. Mostly sucked. I found some reloading stuff and ammo for a friend. I saw a mid 1960's Win 94 30-30 with the color case hardened finish $450 no tax and a S&W model 10 5" nickle Detroit PD marked $495 no tax.

Gun shows usually have a wide array of low end Chicom AR parts and accessories.

California Gun Show. A contradiction in terms.

Great show! 20,000 shotgun primers for a group buy, wife bought gun related t shirt, bought her girl "stuff", and she won a rifle at the NRA raffle!

I thought it was better than the last few CrossRoads shows I've gone to in Ventura. Not anything like you'd see in free states but not a sucky as I've seen before.

A few things I noticed this time that make stop and think:

                1) More younger people there than I recall seeing before. Lots of parents with their kids and whole families. Not just a bunch of middle aged and older dudes. This is a good thing for us.

                2) More minorities. While still skimpy of Blacks (This is Ventura County after all), I saw a surprising number of Hispanics (and their families) buying lots of gun related items AND guns.

                3) Couldn't find the CalGuns booth....I even wore my T-Shirt....

                4) The Jerky prices went up AGAIN. Didn't buy any this time around.

If you were looking for ANYTHING AR related, it was there. Lots and lots of AR stuff....

I bought a nice LED light kit for my safe (the big one), some stickers and a well made, hand made, hatchet/hammer. My wife bought a stun gun, some stickers and a couple of knives.

The Calguns booths at gun shows seem over and they rarely if ever did Ventura. They haven't been at DelMar in ages and seem to have given up on Ontario and some Costa Mesa. I've been to some of the largest gun shows in the country such as Tulsa and have sometimes seen 15-20 Blacks at most. I've been to small shows where I was among the youngest people there and I'm pushing 40.
