Is the website up to date about membership and fee's?

Looking to start shooting long distances...but of course not blindly in the fog
Yes, the web site is up to date. If you're interested in shooting longer distances, come watch our bolt rifle steel match this coming Saturday on the silhouette range. We shoot from 8 to about noon or so. We can also fill you in on our long range matches (out to 1000 yards).

It's about 30 minutes south of Sunrise Blvd and Hwy 50. The 1K range is not open to the general public. You have to be participating in a scheduled event, which our monthly practice is. You could come to one of our practice sessions. 1st Saturday of every month. http://www.ncpprc.com/

          do you allow .50s?

I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom...and several others laying around. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks.

lol. We used to screw with people at the outdoor range in Irvine when my brother and I were in college. We knew where the gongs were out to 600 yards. On days when the fog blew in when we were out there, we would sit at the bench with an old FAL with iron sights. If you knew where to look, you would see the gong appear once or twice a minute for maybe a second. But you would only see it if you were looking right at it. We would wait for a shot, then squeeze off a round. By the time we fired, the target was usually hidden again. But you would get a really good "DING!" echoing back a second or so later. We used to really annoy the rich professional types that were there with their very expensive ubermagnums and $2000 scopes because it looked for all the world like we were just shooting blindly into the fog with an old beater rifle, and still hitting the target. I loved messing with them. I miss that range...
