Crazy story. Although I can see why he sold the security officer "high cap" magazines. Sheriff security officers carry Beretta 92fs (and now a lot of them M&P9s with 17 round mags) and the department issues them 15 round magazines, even though they are technically civilians.

Officer Amelia Suarez needs to face the music too. She might not have known about not legally being able to purchase the 17 rd mags, (we would get no pass for ignorance of the law) but she did know she committed a straw purchase.

ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer is expected to announce criminal charges today against a South Los Angeles gun dealer suspected of allowing a civilian to buy firearms and ammunition magazines using an exemption meant for police officers.

One of those weapons was allegedly used in a homicide in Riverside County.
