Nothing in the Gun Laws can ever prevent murder....

Our gun laws can prevent tragedies,” Feuer said in a written statement. “But when those laws are circumvented there can be dire consequences. It’s critical that firearms dealers comply with rules designed to protect the public.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Could this not be a test case challenging the constitutionality of the 1 in 30 rule and the standard magazine ban???

Why can't this be seen an opportunity?

"I plead not guilty on the grounds of that I was exercising my constitutional rights..."

Further more, the gal could claim the same thing. Right?

Of course, the whole straw purchase thing doesn't help her....

The city had it in for Botach. Suarez probably confused them with her status a mistake was made. Yes, a serious mistake, BUT it wouldn't have been a big deal if the real CRIMINAL Suarez hadn't sold the gun illegally to a MURDERER.

I've never had a problem with BOTACH (unlike PSA), and I got some great deals on quality stuff from them. I didn't like the back order scheme they had for awhile, but they were always honest.

It wasn't BOTACH that screwed us as much as it was Suarez.

In any case, if I were BOTACH I'd move to Arizona or Texas. Screw California and their complex BS laws.

I noticed Rifle Gear has a place in Texas now. I wonder if they will stay in CA too. Hope so.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Botach is in a S hole location and was rarely bothered with. Now that the area is up for an urban renovation, Botach becomes the red headed stepchild and they want them out. Botach issues aside, I hope they can win this and stay put.

I've had no problems ordering things from Botach, I knew the state would find some way to screw them over eventually though.

My guess is, nothing will happen to Botach or the SD. She'll get a slap on the wrist.

Nothing to see here, move along...

Um no, you are mistaken. I work for LASD and I can tell you right now they are firing people for farting in the wrong direction. She provided a weapon that was used in a 187. I have no doubt she will be fired, possibly jailed.

Do you really think a case of violating the 1 in 30 rule and large-capacity magazine ban that resulted in a murder is a good case to base our fight against those laws?

Well, I don't "really" think that but, clearly neither of those details effected the out come. She could have given any gun away at anytime and standard mags don't seem to be a factor so....

So really those points are irrelevant to the case. At least in my Utopia...

ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer is expected to announce criminal charges today against a South Los Angeles gun dealer suspected of allowing a civilian to buy firearms and ammunition magazines using an exemption meant for police officers.

One of those weapons was allegedly used in a homicide in Riverside County.
The city attorney should know that police officers are civilians too.

The recent DC case ruled 1-in-30 unconstitutional. It needs to be challenged here.
