    AK FUD!!!

    So I have decided to buy a Yugo M70 build from FEDUPWBS and since I dont really want to drive 2-3 hours up to his shop again, I may want to have it shipped down here. After I got off the phone with FED, I called the Oaktree Gun Club, a local FFL, and asked what their policy was on transferring off-list AKs.

    The guy I talked to then told me that he wont transfer AKs because the DOJ is throwing the FFLs that sell AK variants and the people that buy them in jail(or something to that affect). I immediately knew this was just some more DOJ BS FUD being spread to FFLs and wanted to know if anyone else has heard any of this stuff. Oh and the place sells AR lowers but "since people have been found innocent with off-list ARs, the DOJ is now going after people with AKs" and thats why he still safely sells them.

      Did you read the thread about Sacramento PD memo? read it and keep one at hand plus give it to the FFL.

          LOL . . . BOF agent was in the shop yesterday, didn't flinch at any of the stuff on our books here

          S-12's, WASR's, Saiga rifles, OLL, FAL . . .

          Let crappy dealers stew in their own FUD . . . more business for us!

              Haha ya I read the memo and am well aware of our OLL laws, I just wanted to spread the word about this event. If only the Oaktree guy would let me know specifically who he heard got busted for selling/buying LEGAL AKs I heard these guys also think its illegal for anyone under 21 to get a HSC and have their parent transfer it to them.

                      Call them up and tell them that since they are so ignorant about the laws you will be taking your business elsewhere. I really don't see how he could hold a straight face saying that he can sell the OLL ARs but not OLL AK variants.

                          I still hear that line TO THIS DAY. Tell them to their face...

                              Isn't what the dealer is afraid of exactly what happened to Bright Spot? Sounds like he just didn't stay up to date with it. Sounds like if you provide him with a source of info on what happened that he considers reliable he should put AKs on the same shelf as the ARs.

                                          Oh I am FOR SURE taking my business elsewhere, I didnt get into it with the guy because I know they wouldnt want to hear it. However, maybe the bright spot thing will help clear things up. Can anyone point me to the BSP threads please? I used the search and found nothing
