There's other videos pretty much confirming the same thing. Some other guy made a couple iirc, and on the second test even used bones to better simulate a human body. The trocars pretty much stopped at the bone, basically equating to superficial wounds. I think one made it through a rib, but didn't go that far.

The only thing that mattered was the base of the bullet but because of the gimmicky trocars, it's significantly smaller than a regular hollow point. So pretty much no point to the rip ammo.

Expensive garbage with good marketing to snare all the suckers and fuds. Gun store commandos who ran quite a few black ops in their day, etc.

Nice write up and vid. Tired of seeing these other main stream channels kicking out what are essentially extended commercials rather than reviews. Keep the truth coming!

Also if your selling rounds by them selves I'll take one. Wouldn't mind a little trinket on the desk.

Anything moving at 900 to 1,300+ feet per second with a grain weight of 100-240 is lethal and no-one wants to be "shot" by it, but the real issue is the fact that R.I.P. ammo is marketed using ridiculous scare tactics and publicity stunts trying to utilize fear-mongering media, and for what? An overpriced, overrated bullet with a 'fancy' and 'deadly' appearance that doesn't even perform to spec in proportion for what you pay for it compared to contemporary defensive ammo like Hornady Defense or Federal HST. The 'scary' looking jagged edge hollowpoints are a gimmick, and they cause a risk for jamming handguns, something that can end badly for a self-defense shooting.

Of course, if you don't mind forking $2.50 per shot of this new "miracle" instant-death bullet versus the $0.88 per shot of Hornady Critical Defense, then by all means, have a go at it.
