Where to get some classes on field stripping some firearms..

A Marine buddy showed me how to do mine years ago. Always stuck with me. It's easy. 1911 on the other hand always drives me nuts.

you bought them used then, apparently. every new gun has a factory manual that explains as the necessary level of field-strip.

acquire the correct manuals so I can tell you to RTFM!

Youtube is your friend, I have learned a great many things on there.

So long as you don't lose any parts when you field strip, you'll be fine. Simply watch a youtube video and follow along, so it slowly the time time around. If you're stuck, ask here and I'm sure many people will be able to help you out.

Here's a manual on the M4 that will help you out, the Windham Weaponry M4 is milspec so it'll be the same as your Colt:
