I have a colt m4 6920 and a zastava opap AK. I want to take some classes on field stripping these firearms. I don't have any friends/family that can help me. Anyone know where I can go and get some classes? I know I can check out youtube videos but I rather have someone who is experienced teach me. Thanks.

Dear autocorrect, I'm really getting tired of your shirt! -
The AR platform is super easy to field strip. Watch a YouTube video.Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison
The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)Comment

Like SonofWWIIDI said, post your location and maybe you can setup a trip to the range as a bro-date or something(yes, I'm being serious. I keep saying calguns needs a personals section...).
But regarding the youtube videos, I really suggest you give a few a watch. The thing is, ARs and AKs are dirt easy to field strip. Remember that these things were designed so the(no offense people who have served) lowest common denominator can field strip, clean, and re-assemble them. We're talking "some assembly required" for children's toys level, not even ikea "you might put it together wrong if you aren't paying attention" status. If you do get stuck for some reason, you can just re-watch that part of the video or find another video(there are tons) with a different camera angle.
edit: Since I'm bringing up the personals thing again, there needs to be both a "casual encounters" and a "missed connections" section.Last edited by Merc1138; 09-14-2015, 5:12 PM.Comment
