With "right" shoulder injury/weakness. You should at least have her try the teacup hold with the weak arm supported against rib cage.
This stacks the weight load of the firearm through the weak arm onto the ribcage, as well as lending some support to the "right" arm.
Very similar to an offhand rifle stance. Works well for "target" shooting but to slow for defensive shooting. In a true SD scenario. Quickly putting lead on target is the goal. No long term stance or grip issues matter.
