Wow. Sorry to hear OP. All these gun laws and anti CCW counties only help the criminal element achieve their mission of being thugs.

Now that they know you carry guns in locked containers, they will probably be back. Stupid state!

Not necessarily. But due to circumstances, my guess would be Big Jakes elephant.

Thanks guys. All three were black males. Between 20-25 I'd guess. One of the three had a hoodie on with it sinched around his face so you couldn't see him. That was the fella that said he'd shoot. He had his hand in his front pocket of the hoodie the whole time. I wasn't going to risk the chance he was bluffing.

The last time I got robbed three guys came in and two of them had Glocks with 33 round magazines. I'm sure those guys legally had their CCWs and hi cap mag permits... The criminals in Oakland have that stuff but the legal citizen can't. Funny how that works right?

Sorry to hear that. It's suck you can't carry, a locked unloaded gun is useless

Agree with 2 times being robbed is good cause , i would apply . Also agree they will most likely target you again after what they found in your bag. Be alert , be aware and do what you need to do to be safe.
This is a case of obeying the law caused guns to get in the hand of the criminals .No matter if he couldn't draw and fight back , at least one would have been on him and not in their hands now.

Sorry to hear about you incident.
The #1 thing is that you and your dog are okay.
It could have ended a whole lot worse.
I sure hope they catch the dirt bags and your
                weapons are returned. -g

Sorry this happened to you. I've been beaten (to the point of unconsciousness) and robbed (after being unconscious) before, so I know what it's like.

Quite frankly you were a victim not because you lacked a gun (plenty of people carrying guns have been victimized - including cops), but because of task fixation (about to unlock car/load) and a lack of awareness.

Sorry to be rough, but when you think about it, you'll realize that actually having a gun in your pants wouldn't have prevented anything. Look at the situation:

focused on the car when 3 guys came up to you. If that guy really had a gun (the ifs will bother you for a long time, try not to dwell on it), think you could've escaped injury? While you breaking loose from the guy who grabbed you and presenting your gun? Maybe.

                  If I may:

http://www.amazon.com/Gift-Fear-Gavi.../dp/B0036Z9U2A - This book sort of tells you about your body's intuitive/reasoning system and how it can pick up on subtle indicators of some bad sh*t about to happen.

http://www.amazon.com/Principles-Per.../dp/B005SP8WMA - And this book teaches you how to be more observant so you can regconize more danger symbols.

I will bet those criminals didn't beam in Star-Trek style. You might've been able to see them before you got to your car... Maybe. Read Gavin's book. You may remember those little things you saw that tipped you off to potential danger (then ignored) - I know I did, when I thought back to the encounter I experienced.

wow, my buddy lives on your street and his mom and dad live down the block. very happy that your dog didnt get hurt but im dismayed at the fact these three are still alive to rob and possibly kill another innocent.

alameda county loves the fact that the only people carrying are the leos and criminals. as you showed, leos are only a good 10-20 minutes away at all times.

My auto repair business is in Oakland and what happened to OP is my greatest fear. A young guy was robbed just like you near the driveway of my shop on 30th and Broadway about a month ago. 3 men, one was armed and pistol whipped the poor guy.

                            Glad you are OK!!

I am sorry about your situation and I am glad you came out unscathed. In some cases the victim complies and is shot anyway for sport.

The difficulty of regular folks to get a LTC while this filth runs rampant is disgusting.
