I got mad when i had to give fingerpRint and id before leaving a gun show because i bought ammo, but then again i didn't know that til i checked out. I would be ok with a range doing this but i probably would not join.

would love another outdoor range within 1/2 tank of gas distance....but not to be screened like. No BG checks...and no need to shoot 1000yards after sunset so why pay for it?

I think for the right range many here would submit to a cavity search and be willing to give a stool, blood and semen sample.

Now you've done it. As soon as FP sees this, he will start planning on opening a private range.

You, Sir, have been in the basement too long. Time to come up for some fresh air and sunlight.

We had a range here that we pay 50 bucks per year. It was open 24/7 and had lights, bathrooms, etc. Each lane was a private lane and you can do whatever you wanted. Only down side is it was 50 yards max. Still great price for a year.... too bad i dont know if its open or not since i havent been in town for a few years.

I have to clear a federal bg check for work & purchases. I have no issue with it at a high-end or private facility. Do I prefer it, absolutely not. Is it a good idea in general, no.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Open 24/7? I'd be down for that. I already had backround checks for everything else you would want to do in Cali so whats one more.

It would be a negative but not a deal breaker in a private club, especially if you allowed some alternatives like waiving them for COE holders.

For a public range it's pretty clearly an impossible business model.
