I've gotten out of all my county jury duty. Got 2 different spiels one for civil and another for criminal.
If you ever get a shot at Federal Grand Jury jump on it. They keep you interested all day. One day a week for 6 months or a year. Did it twice. They did bring us a boring case once. Price fixing and restraint of trade in the billboard industry. A real snoozer.

Just got tapped for Santa Ana Superior Court in September. Last time I was selected, after they made their selections and the prep/defendant took a plea deal which ended the case before it started. In Fullerton North Court, been on one trial dealing with an automobile accident; obvious case of fraud by the plaintiff. Since my work will cover up to 15 days, I don't care if I get selected.

The judge sat and listened, didn't admonish her stupidity. But then he asks if she would feel better about serving on non-criminal jury, she says maybe. The judge says, head back up to the jury room and they will reassign you to a civil court ....BURN !!!!!

The stupid idiot thought she could talk her way out, when the judges see this crap every week for years, there is no fooling these guys. If she sat quiet she had a good chance of getting released properly.
