I've attempted to order from OpticsPlanet twice. Both times ended with me taking my business elsewhere.

I use them. Slow sometimes but good prices expecially if you use dvor.
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

      With guns, we are 'citizens.'

      Without them, we are 'subjects'.

I mean I was trying to find the good in buying with them but man I didn't want to take that chance. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience but it took me weeks to find a site that shipped my item the very next day with tracking. I may have paid almost full price but at least I know it's on its way just waiting to See how the product arrives.
You looked for weeks to find an online retailer that would ship the next day? You could have ordered from Opticsplanet, and even if it took a week to get to you, you would have still saved yourself a couple of weeks, right? Plus saved 20%? Interesting.

Chromebonez, we are extremely sorry for dropping the ball on your order. Unfortunately there are certain circumstances (like this one) that are out of our hands. While we would love to stock the nearly 1 million products on our site it just simply would not make financial sense. We are constantly trying to improve our business and appreciate all of the feedback both positive and negative in this thread. At the end of the day we are a company made up of people just like you and all it takes is typing an 11 instead of 1 for quantity of a particular product to cause the issue like we have here. Of course we don't want to fall back on the cliche' "mistakes happen" but there's no way around it.

Being a shooter, I know how frustrating it is when the gear you order doesn't arrive when it should and for this I am truly sorry. Please do me a favor and send a PM to marketing@opticsplanet.com with you order number, and a brief description (1-2 sentences) of the issue and I will personally see that we have a resolution for you ASAP.

Thank you and once again sorry for the inconvenience.

I have never bought from Optics Planet, and that is because of the frequency and sheer volume of instances that this type of thing seems to happen with OP compared to other retailers.

I understand that glitches happen, but they seem to happen with OP a lot more than some other places.

I've almost bought from OP a few times, but ended up spending my money elsewhere because I've heard too many of these exact stories over and over for way too long.
In every thread like this that comes up there's always a bunch of people that say "Bought from them many times with no issues" and my guess is that as long as there's enough of those deals to keep the bottom line favorable, the other ones will continue to happen, (Just not to me.) and when people complain loud enough, then they are extremely sorry for dropping the ball.

My question for Optics Planet is this; Why does this seem to happen with your company so often?

There are lots of retailers who drop ship from their vendors inventory who don't seem to regularly have this problem.

I ask this as a potential customer who has been scared away from your business because of all the times I heard people say "It showed in stock, my card was charged, order never showed, called and was told it was shipping now, still didn't show, called again, was told xxxx, and so on."

I ended up canceling my Strike Eagle order when Natchez had the Bushnell 1-6.5x24 available for $500. I bought one in FFP and one in SFP. Haven't gotten the chance to play with them much yet but with retail ~3x what the Vortex costs hopefully they're nicer.
