    Low Profile Ear Muffs ??

Curious if anyone can recommend a pair of non-electronic low profile pair of ear muffs. Preferably the higher NRR the better

I have the Howard Leight L3 "Leightning" but they tend to be rather thick.

    Thanks!

Been looking for the same thing. The standard sized muffs I have get knocked loose by the stock when shooting off of the bench.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

Exactly! I found some other Howard Leight ones that are low pros.

I'm leaning towards the L1 or the L0F. Mostly the L1 as it has a NRR of 25

Howard Leight also makes a very low pro electronic too. No more than $55, and I've seen them cheap as $40.

I really like mine. Great battery life, and automatic shut-off after 4 hours. If you don't like the power on, they are 30 rated with the power off.

An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

I'd never seen these before, very interesting. I use electronic ears and they get hot during summer matches & sometimes get in the way with rifle stages.

Do you have the stouter NRR 31 one or the NRR 26 one? The site doesn't really make a recommendation about which is better suited for shooting.

Gunshots are supposed to be 140-170dbs, which would be off the chart on their graph:
WTS: Ewbank AKM & NDS-4 AK receivers, Custom Chief AJ Ruger Mini-14

                WTS: Oakley SI Shoes

                WTS KAC rail panels

WTS: MGI Hydra Modular AR Lower

Peltor shotgunner I use these at work, pretty good.

Midway is having a sale on their Tactical 6S' though. I have a pair of these and they're great.

I also have the Howard leights at work, the ear cups get hard after a while, but the peltor's stay softer longer. They're also easier to find and replace too I think.

Im first generation convert so i have NRR26 UPGRADING to NRR31.
These are very easy to situate behind the neck/ on top of the head/ hanging
in front the neck/ very light & non powered...i think i may initiate a group buy!!

I have 3 pairs of the Peltor H61FS, and like the low profile : http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/dpped1ux.html
