I've never had a problem with UPS. And why did you wait 8 days to do something about your missing package?

My house address is FRICKIN HUGE! giant numbers.. right in front, on the gate and the house.
UPS tracking says they delivered my box yesterday at 12:30 pm. We were all here at that time and saw no truck and no one knocked on the door.

Now get to wait 8 working days to find out that i'm screwed
If the shipper chose the cheaper "UPS Surepost" service instead of regular UPS ground service then the tracking will reflect when the UPS driver delivered the package to your local USPS facility. The USPS will then deliver the package one or two days later.

MY recent experience with UPS was written up here on CG. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1055396

I havent heard what happened subsequent to the company who shipped it having sent me a brand-new gun. I imagine they must have had fun dealing with the Uniformed Parcel Smashers. We do get stuff from them at work, and if something comes in damaged, it's either from them or the US Snail. Dont have such problems with FedEx, they just don't show up at requested times for pick-ups.

Never had an issue with the ups in my area.
FedEx on the other hand I will never use again. Too many mangled packages or dropped at wrong address.
I think it really comes down to your specific driver in your area Mines a really cool guy even when he's off his replacements have been good to go. I think it depends on the standards the managers set on that area

For some reason I'm now able to change it from shipping to me to pick-up at the UPS Store when I couldn't before... weird.

I think you have to get one package delivered after you setup the account before it let's you.

I set up the account and had them send me a letter so I could verify it. That was done before this package was shipped, and nothing has been delivered since I last tried.

It all depends on the individual, the person. Some are better than others regardless of their uniform color. Every service has bad apples.

My guy has the same name as me and not only is he great now but even delivered to my old address across town. I love it when he pretend hides my stuff, putting a 4' by 2' box under my floor mat doesnt conceal it well but it gives me a good chcukle. My wife used to have a issue with her packages until she took on my last name and now she gets excellent service too
