NFA weapons are legal to own in many states. There are gun shops, such as myself, that deal (I also am licensed to manufacture) in NFA weapons. Civilians can own most any machine gun made and registered before May 19,1986 (except pre 86 dealer samples) after filing a Form 4 and paying a $200 transfer tax to the ATF. Read the NFA article on my website for more details.
Ok now I see what you are saying. I knew about that much but I thought u were talking about brand new plentiful weapons like we buy OLL's out here. I would think besides price, that those pre 86 weapons are a little hard to get a hold of even if you have the money and the record no?

Not at all. http://www.gunsamerica.com/Search/Ca...s-3-Rifles.htm The hard part is getting the CLEO sign off for your tax stamp.

This show should have been titled, "The Worlds Most Amazing Police Videos 37." What a waste of time.

Ok so whats the"CLEO" sign off? I did hear some part of this process is a bunch or red tape or hard to get an approval on. Is that the monkey wrench in the gears?

I'm glad to see that our military is using the best weapons to date. Those kel-tecs are so light weight I'll bet back problems have been reduced since they've been put into service.

Chief Law Enforcement Officer must sign the transfer form stating that they don't know of any law you are violating by obtaining the weapon. It's their choice to sign or not to, no law saying they have to do so. If not, just form a legal entity such as a trust or corporation. They are treated as an individual for NFA purposes. As an agent of the trust/corporation you can possess the property, including NFA weapons, at any time.

Nice. I won't be getting one anytime soon. Besides price the CLEO would call his subordinates in to have me immediately billy clubbed and arrested when he got a look at me lol.

Naw but maybe one day when I move out to NV.

Its impossible to get any in CA, you need the CLEO sign off and CA DOJ permission.
