Honest question to anti's

no question about it this country was founded with the use of guns. So someone feels that this country should have a ban on private gun ownership i would like to know when they feel would have been the appropriate time for the american people to give up thier guns? i assume we dont have a lot of anti's on this site but if you know any please ask them. i dont think most anti's have a realistic view of gun ownership in america.

Just a guess but I would think most will say now. Some may say no more sales, create a list of gun owners, and have them turn in their guns at any point or be collected upon their death.

Since American Revolution war, these "Anti" are exist, they were called Royalists and Tories. Modern times they are called anti or pro gun control.

It's not the actual action, it's a event they know is an almost impossible feat, so they can mindlessly blow hot air about "the answer", but it doesn't matter because it will always be active and a topic because it probably won't happen.

1) Members here like to label anti's as Liberals etc. - and vice versa but many of the anti's I know vote R.

2) It's damn near impossible to counter the fear of firearms in some people. The gentle and the genteel will never warm up to the necessity of guns.

3) Best thing one can ask a person of the anti persuasion is if there was social chaos and a breakdown of order, would they disdain the gun owner's offer of protection or not.

4) In light of #3 I try to explain that, aside from the sundry recreational aspects, guns are primarily an instrument of protection.
