In California, off-roster handguns are like machine guns in free states, a artificially low amount are available, boosting the price. If I was selling off-roster handguns, I would sell for whatever the market will bear. You should be pissed off at the State of California, not the free market that is benefiting from it.

I agree with being able to profit on any "investment" but in my opinion what some are doing here is nuts, gouging is gouging. At the same time I know its their "right" to be a d*#! head and double or triple the value because its a "rooster" gun, I just don't condone it and was curious where all the others stand. Clearly above I am not alone, thanks all!

Seeing the glock 43 for a freaking THOUSAND dollars actually made me mad. Yeah yeah... free market.... but in doing so some are giving what should be a united front fighting WITH the help of especially our restricted gun state family instead of ripping some or maybe many new shooters looking to break into the hobby/sport/FAMILY.

I hate this whole "safe list" crap and some taking advantage of it.
New shooters should not be spending 1K for a Glock 43. They will buy it, often find out they don't like it, and then try to get all their money back including PPT fees, and now we have a Glock 43 up for sale at $1100 to leave a little wiggle room in the price...

Someone should figure out how to get Glock 43's into the state and sell them at a discount from MSRP. Yeah, that would fix all those gougers...

Blame it on the buyers. I can't imagine many of these are actually selling for their listed price. But people are obviously paying a HUGE mark up just to have a "GEN4!"
If I had that much piss-away cash, I'd go take the time and hassle to get residency out of state and buy, buy, buy.

Your post reminded me of this:

Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

I have four glocks and there is no way I'd buy a 43, even if it were at a regular price. The G19 and G26 are all you need in Glock 9mm. Course, my EDC gun is a Glock G30SF, but I've got the other two around for fun.

This is certainly not a free market. It is an example of supply/demand specifically caused by the lack of a free market.

But it hurts the 2a community in CA and makes the ones we are trying to convert to our side and fight with us instead of against us.

Moving away, giving up, gouging each other just divides us and hurts us in the long run.

at least all of us here aren't greedy and looking at the big picture of the inter fighting it is causing among all of us, especially new shooters.

                                just my opinion
