Just checked mine and it is centered. little things like that bother me as well, especially when you pay a premium for high quality products.

Thanks Zilla for checking that out. It appears that the factory may have already adjusted the rear sight to compensate but I'd still rather have both sights line up over the barrel.

At this point, I need to shoot it to decide what to do - keep it or send it in.

I finally fired the gun and... I'm keeping it. After 100 rounds down range I'm satisfied. Its more accurate than I am. Every shot that didn't go exactly where I wanted it to was because of me. Also, it does look like the rear sight was slightly adjusted by the factory to accommodate the front sight.

When you shoot yours, I think you'll find the same results. Its a nice shooter!

You're the second CZ guy complaining about his sights who hasn't even fired the gun yet in the last few weeks.

Why do the sights need to be perfectly centered? What matters is where the gun hits.

These are mass produced things. In Eastern Europe. Don't expect perfection. You'll be a lot happier in life.

Theres a difference between complaining and asking. When you buy a handgun, you expect the sights to be lined up correctly; especially from a quality manufacturer like CZ. Of all my handguns, its the only one with this issue.

But the sights WERE lined up correctly. There is a reason why sights these days are windage adjustable. I suggest you try and shoot a pistol that has a front sight that is NOT adjustable. You will notice the difference.

I have no idea what you're talking about and I'm not sure you do either. The CZ front sight in NOT adjustable. Nor is the front sight on my Beretta 92 which IS perfectly centered.

Please elaborate...

Interesting... that conflicts with what the gunsmith in CZ's warranty dept says. Do you even own an SP-01? Look at the front sight and explain how it is driftable... I'd love to know. Thanks

Called CZ USA and sent pics. The rep offered for me to send the gun in so they can completely replace it. I'll consider this after I shoot it. If they do send a new gun, I'll have to do dros again, 10 day wait, and pay and additional fees for an FFL to do the transfer. Don't want a non matching slide.

FYI, I will shoot the gun as soon as I have the chance to so please don't just say "shoot it". All I'm asking is for feedback from other SP-01 owners. Are your guns the same?

I just took mine out of the safe - it looks good. If it is offset to the left, it is by microns.

The SP01 front sight is NOT left / right driftable. It is set into a dovetail machined into the slide that runs LONGITUDINALLY (front to back), and is captured by a pin that runs right to left. There will be absolutely no moving the SP01 front sight right to left, period.
