What ammo are you using? USP reliability issues are pretty much unheard of.

Willie Clark at American Gunworks in Glendale has done GREAT work on 1911's for me. Good price and short turn around time too.

I've avoided American Gun Works or whatever they call themselves now after getting attitude from the older tall know it all pompous blowhard. I have a feeling the work is not up to the days of the heyday of Kings but I'd love to hear other people's take on the current level of work as well.

I'm still also wondering how Bain and Davis is these days.

                Canoga Park, CA 91304

                      I do not trust them.

I had them change the sights on my guns.

                      1. It took them three weeks, which I consider excessive for a 15-30 minute job.

                      2. I had brand new guns. They did not return the old sights. When I asked for them, they brought out a box filled with old beat-up sights and told me I could pick what I wanted.

                      3. The sights on my Sig were off; this was confirmed by me and two other CGers.

+1 on Dave's Metal Works though.

+1 on Wills Gunsmith in Corona. I have Kimber 1911 I wanted to throw against a wall even after it was sent back to Kimber under warranty for FTE and FTF.

After his work its been one of my favorites in 45acp. Great work and good guy.

Jim Hoag. Just had a reliability package dome on my combat commander, works great. $95.00
